COMM 101 is an introductory course here at ODU that helps the individual become comfortable in talking in front of others.  My syllabus for this course reflects this.  In August of 2017, I adapted my COMM 101 course for a learning community.  I also changed my syllabus to include a group presentation and a digital archive where students would upload videos of them practicing their speeches for early critique and allow them to do a reflection paper at the end of the semester on how they grew in public speaking.
